Terms and Conditions

These Terms govern your use of PayEasy and form part of every Instalment Authorization you accept at checkout.

Version 1.0 Β· Effective 12 July 2026

1. About PayEasy

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the PayEasy platform operated by BM Technologies, trading as PayEasy ("PayEasy", "we", "us", or "our").

PayEasy enables eligible employees to purchase goods and services on instalment plans. Monthly repayment is collected primarily by bank debit from your nominated account through our collection partner. Your employer confirms employment and may process payroll deductions only as a fallback if bank debit collections fail.

By creating an account, browsing the catalogue, submitting an order, or accepting an Instalment Authorization, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Notice.

2. Eligibility and responsible use

  • You must be at least 18 years old and legally employed with a participating employer.
  • You must provide accurate identity, employment, bank account, and contact information.
  • Your monthly instalment must fit within PayEasy's affordability and policy limits.
  • PayEasy may decline orders that cannot be verified, exceed policy limits, or present fraud or compliance risk.

3. Orders and approval

Submitting an order or Instalment Authorization does not constitute acceptance of the purchase.

Fulfilment becomes effective only after your employer confirms employment and approves the order, and your bank debit mandate with PayEasy's collection partner is active.

If an application is declined by your employer or PayEasy, or the bank debit mandate is not confirmed, no delivery will proceed and no instalments will be collected under that authorization.

4. Repayment β€” bank debit and payroll fallback

When an order is approved and your bank debit mandate is active, you authorize PayEasy and its collection partner(s) to collect the agreed instalments from your nominated bank account until each plan is fully repaid.

You also authorize PayEasy and your employer to deduct unpaid instalments from your salary through payroll only if bank debit collection fails after PayEasy's permitted retry attempts, or where PayEasy otherwise notifies your employer that payroll recovery is required.

Plan totals include the PayEasy service fee disclosed at checkout. We do not add hidden account fees, insurance fees, or late fees on top of the agreed plan total.

Instalments follow the debit schedule you choose at checkout (date of first deduction and day for subsequent monthly deductions). Those dates are included on the Direct Debit Transfer Form sent to PayEasy's collection partner. Exact collection timing remains subject to bank and partner processing. Payroll recovery, when used, follows your employer's payroll cycle.

5. Failed or missed payments

If a scheduled bank debit cannot be processed due to insufficient funds, closed account, mandate rejection, bank error, or any other reason, you remain responsible for the missed instalment. PayEasy may retry the debit according to its collection policy.

After the permitted retries fail, PayEasy may ask your employer to deduct the missed amount from salary and remit it to PayEasy, recover through another agreed payment method, or add the amount to subsequent instalments where permitted.

Repeated missed payments may be treated as a default under these Terms.

6. Employment changes

You agree to notify PayEasy within five (5) business days of any resignation, termination, retirement, suspension, unpaid leave, or any other change that may affect repayment, bank debit, or payroll recovery.

If employment ends before the outstanding balance is fully repaid, you remain responsible for the unpaid balance. PayEasy may continue bank debit collections where the mandate remains valid, agree an alternative repayment arrangement, or escalate recovery, failing which the remaining balance becomes immediately due and payable.

7. Cancellation

You may cancel an Instalment Authorization at any time before your employer has approved the order and before delivery has occurred.

Once an order has been approved, the bank debit mandate is active, and the goods or services have been delivered, the authorization becomes irrevocable until all repayment obligations are fulfilled, except where otherwise required by law.

8. Default and recovery

Failure to make scheduled repayments constitutes a default under these Terms.

Upon default, PayEasy may suspend further services, contact you to arrange repayment, notify your employer where permitted (including to request payroll fallback), commence recovery procedures, and pursue remedies available under applicable law.

Where goods have been delivered and repayment obligations remain unmet after failed bank debit collections and any applicable payroll fallback, PayEasy may recover or take back those goods where permitted by law, without limiting other recovery rights.

You are responsible for reasonable costs of recovery where permitted by law.

9. Employers, collection partners, and merchants

Employers participate through a separate PayEasy employer agreement. Employers primarily verify employment and approve orders. They process payroll deductions and remit collected amounts to PayEasy only when PayEasy escalates failed bank debit collections, and are not borrowers under your purchase plan.

Collection partners and banks process bank debit mandates and instalment collections on PayEasy's behalf.

Merchants supply the goods and services listed in your order. Delivery and product fulfilment are coordinated after employer approval and an active bank debit mandate.

PayEasy may share order and authorization information with your employer, collection partners, banks, and relevant merchants to process your transaction.

10. Accounts, communications, and electronic acceptance

  • You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and your profile information up to date.
  • PayEasy may contact you by email, SMS, or in-app notification about orders, bank debit mandates, instalments, verification, and service updates. Your source bank may also contact you to confirm a debit mandate.
  • Electronic acceptance β€” including checkbox consent, timestamps, IP address, and device information β€” is used to record your agreement to an Instalment Authorization.

11. Service availability and liability

PayEasy provides the platform on an as-available basis and may update features, merchants, collection partners, or participating employers from time to time.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, PayEasy is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from bank or collection-partner processing delays outside its control, employer payroll decisions, or merchant fulfilment issues.

Nothing in these Terms limits rights that cannot be excluded under applicable Ghanaian law.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be published on this page with an updated effective date.

Continued use of PayEasy after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. Orders already accepted under a signed Instalment Authorization remain governed by the Terms in effect at acceptance, except where a change is required by law.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Ghana.

Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of PayEasy shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Ghana, unless otherwise agreed by the parties.
